Our Funding & Lending journey began in January of 1981 in Baltimore, Md. wherein our President, Dennis Gilbert began raising private money from investors. These funds were used to fund alternative, non bank mortgages. Mr. Gilbert serviced the portfolio, while earning significant ptofits for investors. Mr. Gilbert also acted as "Trustee" under the various Deeds of Trust, securing the investors funds. Since a portion of a "B", "C", & "D" credit portfolio will experience some defaults, Mr. Gilbert became a "layman's expert in testifying in Bankruptcy Court in favor of secured creditor's rights, and became quite familiar in the foreclosure process. As the years went on, Mr. Gilbert gained knowledge in Asset Based Funding, Contract finance, equipment finance, and Purchase Order funding.
